Real Estate Sales Licensing Requirements

To become a real estate agent in Georgia, you must be at least 18 years old. You must also: 

  • Have a high school diploma or GED

  • Pass a background check

  • Complete 75 hours of pre-licensing coursework

  • Pass the Georgia real estate salesperson exam

  • Complete the real estate license application

  • Complete a 25-hour post-license course within your first year

Real Estate Broker Licensing Requirements

To become a real estate broker or associate broker in Georgia, you must be at least 21 years old. 

Other requirements 

  • Held an actice salesperson license 3 years

  • Complete 60 hours of pre - licensing coursework

  • Disclose any criminal convictions

  • Attend a PSI testing center on exam day

  • Engage in continuing education courses throughout your career
